Nagarhole National Park (2 days)
The park is a mix of tropical deciduous forest and beautiful open grasslands at the edge of the dammed Kabini River. Nagarhole was the former hunting ground of the Maharajah of Mysore, the British viceroys and his officials. Today, its dedicated to wildlife conservation and is arguably one of the best places in India to see Asian elephants in the wild. Asian elephants gather in large herds on the banks of the Kabini River during the hot summer months.
Activities
Start a boat ride in the backwater of Kabini River to view the crocodiles, various birds and major animals like elephants etc. In the day you may take one elephant ride. In the late afternoon, take one more jeep safari.
Kabini (2 days)
Located in southeastern Karnataka, the BR Hills or Viligiriranganatha Swami Temple Wildlife Sanctuary has unique ecosystems in both mountain ranges. Located northwest of the Western Ghats and being the westernmost point of the Eastern Ghats, it is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna due to the presence of different habitats. The area has a wide variety of vegetation, from arid deciduous to evergreen. The wildlife sanctuary is adjacent to the Satimangalam wildlife sanctuary and is home to gaurs, bears, sambar, tigers, leopards, wild dogs, elephants and four horned serows. It's also home to more than 200 species of birds, including crested eagles, great tits and drongos. With plenty of space for trekking and rafting, BR Hills is a must for adventure lovers. The Kapila and Covery rivers flow through these hills for fishing, fishing and boating. Whether you are seeking God's blessings or looking for an exciting adventure, BR Hill is the perfect place.
Activities
In the morning wake up with listening to the songs of mynas of the hill and greet the beautiful misty morning sipping a cup of tea. Take a ride through the depths of the wonderful jungle which might give you the opportunity to see the ruler of the jungle the Tiger and also the sloth bear. After lunch take an afternoon jeep safari along with our naturalist to track the various wild animals.
Bandipur National Park (2 days)
Bandipur Tiger Reserve and National Park is located in the southwest corner of Karnataka, near the border of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. It was created in 1931 when the Maharaja of the then Mysore Krishna Rajawodyar IV decided to create a sanctuary called Venugopala his Wildlife Park. At that time it covered an area of almost 90 km². This remained so for nearly 40 years until former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi started Project His Tiger in 1973 to protect India's tiger population. Under Project Tiger, an area of about 800 km². Added to Venugopala Wildlife Park. It was later renamed Bandipur Tiger Reserve after the village on the outskirts of the city.
